McKittrick Hotel Announces New Weekly Residency By Mk Groove Orchestra

The McKittrick Hotel (530 West 27th Street, NYC), home of Sleep No More, announces MK Groove Orchestra's new weekly residency, live on Fridays in Manderley Bar.

MK Groove Orchestra is an electro-funk, powerhouse jam band, based in Brooklyn and lead by founder Michael Kammers. Their approach is rooted in the big band jazz tradition of hot brass and sultry vocals, yet catapulted into modern territory with a rhythm section that channels more James Brown than Duke Ellington.

Comprised of New York City's finest musical talents, MK Groove Orchestra features Michael Kammers on tenor saxophone, keys, compositions and direction, and lady of song, singer Lisa McQuade. Kammers' compositions, which include over 65 arrangements in the group's repertoire, expertly weave classic and eclectic styles into a groove all their own.

The group joins house band Bassey and The Heathens' Saturday night residency at Manderley Bar. The McKittrick Hotel's jazz age-inspired concert hall and cocktail lounge welcomes guests for revelry and live music during and after Sleep No More. General admission, reserved seating and a full bar are available.
