Lynne Meadow, Artistic Director and Barry Grove, Executive Producer of Manhattan Theatre Club announce that Mandy Greenfield will assume the title of Artistic Producer in January 2011.

Greenfield, who has been with the company since 2003, will work with long-time Artistic Director Lynne Meadow and Executive Producer Barry Grove in the newly created position of Artistic Producer at the start of the new year. Greenfield began at MTC as an Artistic Associate and was named Associate Artistic Director by Meadow in 2008.
Greenfield and Meadow will collaborate on all MTC artistic policy and programming and will continue their close association on all the company's productions. In the new paradigm, Greenfield will take the lead for MTC at City Center -- programming, guiding, and executing the company's work off-Broadway. Meadow, Grove, and Greenfield, along with other senior staff members, have begun planning for new initiatives in new play development and production at City Center, the company's off-Broadway home.

Lynne Meadow says, "I am thrilled that Mandy Greenfield will step up as Artistic Producer for us. I have loved working with her these past six years. I admire her and respect her tremendously and think that she is a gifted, perceptive, and passionate producer. She has already made her mark at MTC. I look forward to a prolific and successful collaboration and to what I know will be her enormous contributions to this company."

Barry Grove says, "I value Mandy Greenfield's extraordinary commitment to Manhattan Theatre Club and am very much looking forward to working with her in her new capacity as Artistic Producer."

Mandy Greenfield says, "I am privileged to continue my close association with Lynne and Barry, and deeply grateful to the writers, directors, designers and actors who make our work at MTC so fruitful and gratifying. This new position presents great opportunity, and is a rewarding outgrowth of the artistic collaboration I've enjoyed with Lynne in my time at MTC. I am excited to build upon MTC's rich history of serving our finest living playwrights, programming and producing the kind of strong, adventurous new work, for which we are known."

Prior to joining MTC, Mandy produced several world premiere productions including the critically acclaimed musical BETTY RULES, Daniel Goldfarb's MODERN ORTHODOX as well as his ADAM BAUM AND THE JEW MOVIE and Darko Tresnjak's PRINCESS TURNADOT, among many others. Currently, Mandy serves on the Advisory Board for the Drama League as well as on the committee for the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize. Her essay "First-Person Singular: Female Writers Embrace the One-Person Play," appeared in WOMEN WRITING PLAYS, published in 2006 by the University of Texas Press. Mandy graduated magna cum laude from Yale University.

Manhattan Theatre Club has been at the forefront of creating exciting and award-winning work for the theatre on and off-Broadway for over three decades. Three of the last six Pulitzer Prizes awarded for Drama were given to MTC produced plays, an accomplishment unparalleled by any theatrical institution.

Under the leadership of Artistic Director Lynne Meadow and Executive Producer Barry Grove for over three decades, the company produces a subscription season on Broadway at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre and off-Broadway at NY City Center. MTC productions have garnered 17 Tony Awards, 6 Pulitzer Prizes, 47 Obies and 29 Drama Desk Awards, as well as numerous Drama Critics Circle, Outer Critics Circle and Theatre World Awards. MTC has won the Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Achievement, a Drama Desk for Outstanding Excellence, and a Theatre World for Outstanding Achievement. Renowned MTC productions include: Time Stands Still; The Royal Family; Ruined; The American Plan; Come Back, Little Sheba; Blackbird; Translations; Shining City; Rabbit Hole; Doubt; Proof; The Tale of the Allergist's Wife; Love!
