Back by popular demand! Tamar-kali's returns to Harlem Stage with her Psychochamber Ensemble for a totally new showcase filled with illusion, burlesque, aerial spectacle, dance and song. Presented as a treatise on love, this multidisciplinary performance piece personifies desire, passion, infatuation and heartbreak through illusion, burlesque, aerial spectacle, dance and song.

Creating a range of responses from boycott to deaths threats, conceptual artist John Sims presents the making of his a risqué documentary film project. Recoloration Proclamation to Gettysburg critiques the confederate flag, visual terrorism southern heritage via the process of remixing, recoloring and rewriting. Join the journey from SoHo, to a KKK rally, Gettysburg and the eventual burial of the confederate flag. The presentation will be introduced by Paul D. Miller aka DJ Spooky.

Teen poets, spoken-word artists, emcees, scholars and activists with something to say are invited to share their voices in this open-mic monthly series. Outfitted with youth DJs this safe, uncensored space provides a platform for free expression. The young and young-at-heart are invited to sneak a peek at the next generation of performing artists.
