After opening this past Sunday in Off-Broadway's The Lady Swims Today, Robert Funaro was asked to be a guest on "The Joey Reynolds Show" late-nite this Monday, October 1 at midnight.  Since 1996, Joey Reynolds has hosted his enormously popular national overnight broadcast, which can be heard locally on WOR Radio 710AM or online at www.wor710.com.

Robert Funaro memorably played Eugene Pontecorvo on "The Sopranos," ultimately whacking himself (by hanging) in the Emmy Award-winning sixth season opener.  He has numerous New York stage credits and will appear in the upcoming film American Gangster directed by Ridley Scott.

Radio host Joey Reynolds was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for his accomplishments in radio, TV and music.  Joey gained national prominence as a Top 40-radio personality in the 1960's and 70's.  Today, his unique style is mellower but he is still able to attract and maintain huge and phenomenally loyal audiences in such markets as New York City, Denver and Philadelphia.

"The Lady Swims Today is set at the Carney Hook Marina Motel in the summer of 1984, where three desperate men are tempted to join the heist of a lifetime.  Eddie has a plan to steal two million dollars off a boat on the Chesapeake Bay and he needs a crew to pull it off.  When these schemers and dreamers come up against three women with plans of their own, the course to a fortune is threatened by more than bad weather," explain press notes.

The Lady Swims Today is written by H.G. Brown and directed by Stephen Sunderlin.  Also featured in the cast are Kelli K. Barnett, Vivienne Leheny, Jack Rodgerson, Rob Sheridan, Gordon Silva, and Kate Udall.

The limited engagement of The Lady Swims Today is set to run through October 21 at the TADA Theater, 15 W. 28 St. (between Broadway & Fifth Ave.)  The playing schedule is Tuesday through Saturday at 8PM and Sunday at 2PM & 7PM.  Tickets are $39.50 and are available through www.TheLadySwimsToday.com or call 212-352-3101.
