Jazz at Lincoln Center and Artistic Director Wynton Marsalis announces the 2010-11 season programming featuring concerts, education events, broadcasts, touring and a diverse line-up of guest artists.

This season - Jazz at Lincoln Center's 24th season of programming and seventh season in its home, Frederick P. Rose Hall - the organization announces two new series: the Visionary Voices series featuring Bobby McFerrin, Dianne Reeves and Sweet Honey In The Rock and the Jazz & Popular Song series, curated by Michael Feinstein.

Wynton Marsalis, Artistic Director at Jazz at Lincoln Center, said, "This season embodies what we call ‘total jazz.' The programming takes us through the continuum of American jazz to what is being played around the world today. From the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra performing music of the Jazz Age, to Terence Blanchard and Branford Marsalis demonstrating modern New Orleans development, to the spicy Afro polyrhythm of Cuba, to the sultry soulfulness of the great Nancy Wilson and our perennial favorite Dianne Reeves. There's a concert here for everyone. We are also excited about special first-time collaborations with legends Chick Corea and Chucho Valdes. We will be uplifting people's spirits and creating community year round in the House of Swing."

"This musically rich season truly features jazz programming for everyone," said Lisa Schiff, Chairman of Jazz at Lincoln Center. "Through performances, education events and exhibits, the organization offers a window on some of history's most influential jazz artists as well as the finest musicians playing today."

Adrian Ellis, Executive Director of Jazz at Lincoln Center, said, "I'm proud of how this season celebrates the jazz tradition. The breadth and depth of this timeless music - played and sung by some of the most compelling artists, and some gospel, blues and standards - are wrapped around this season."

Highlights of the 2010-11 season will include the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis concerts including first-ever collaborations with Chick Corea and Ute Lemper. Throughout the season, the world-renowned resident orchestra plays the music of Kurt Weill, Billy Strayhorn and the Jazz Age.

Nancy Wilson graces The Allen Room this season along with Harry Allen, Wess "Warmdaddy" Anderson, Terence Blanchard, Bill Charlap, Vincent Gardner, Kenny Garrett, Vince Giordano, Wycliffe Gordon, Roy Haynes, Carlos Henriquez, Dave Holland, Ahmad Jamal, José James, Lee Konitz, Ute Lemper, Taj Mahal, Branford Marsalis, Claire Martin, Charles McPherson, Jane Monheit, Lewis Nash, Rosa Passos, Jeremy Pelt, Ken Peplowski, Danilo Perez, Eric Reed, Dianne Reeves, Marcus Roberts, Diane Schuur, Mary Stallings, Lew Tabackin, Chucho Valdés and the Afro-Cuban Messengers, Ute Lemper, and Warren Wolf.
