Duncan Northern Named President Of Tinc Productions

Duncan Northern has been named President of Tinc Productions as of July 11, 2018. Northern previously held the position of Partner and Production Supervisor and has been with the company since 2012.

With Northern serving as Production Supervisor, Tinc launched its theatrical production management division in 2014, presenting Clinton: The Musical. Since then, Tinc has been production manager for numerous Off-Broadway shows, with its current roster including the New York Music Theater Festival (eight seasons), Mike Birbiglia's The New One, Puffs, and the Chicago production of Heartbreak Hotel.

Northern takes over the company from previous owners and founders Ryan Kirk and Melissa Johnston who are leaving to pursue other interests. When asked about what drives him, Northern commented, "Tinc has always been a place that has taken chances and built opportunities for its employees and clients. It is one of my proudest moments as a professional to take over as President of this company and to continue its long legacy."

Joining Northern as Tinc's new Director of Operations is Mary Kathryn Blazek, who brings 15 years of experience in theater and opera. Blazek most recently served as the Director of Production for the Manhattan School of Music where she supervised over 1,000 events a year.

Tinc Productions is a technical production and management company that serves both the theatrical and live events industries. Tinc has overseen the execution of large scale events from celebrity magicians to fashion shows for New York fashion week to major special events both in New York and internationally.
