Dalliance Theater Asks WHO IS JORDAN BISHOP? Starting March 5

By:

Dalliance Theater will premiere 8 short plays by 8 up-and-coming playwrights this March in their new collaborationWho is Jordan Bishop? from March 5-14 at Theaterlab on West 14th Street. 8 directors, 8 playwrights and 16 actors will explore our obsession with celebrity and celebrity image in this exciting new play series.

The playwrights for Who Is Jordan Bishop? include Ian August (Missing Celia Rose, SPF), Eric Sanders (Last Life, Ohio Theatre), Scott Rad Brown, Evan Cummings, Patrick Garrigan, Karly Maurer, and Clayton Smith. Each play features a two-person cast led by different director. Kent Barrett will design the lights, set, and multimedia aspects of the production. The Cast and Directors will be announced in the coming week. Who Is Jordan Bishop? is produced by Dalliance Theater Artistic Associates Scott Rad Brown and Emily Firth.

Who Is Jordan Bishop? chronicles the meteoric rise and inevitable demise of celebrity gossip monger/part-time rock-god/full-time a-hole Jordan Bishop. Although he remains a shadowy figure throughout the night, the plays use a variety of genres, styles and devices to reveal the man, the myth, the legend one theatrical snapshot at a time.

Dalliance Theater was founded in 2006 as a theatrical playground for artists, providing an artistic base to breathe new life into original, classical and obscure works. Most recently, Dalliance produced the world premiere of Eliot Stockton's Refractions at FringeNYC, staged the bar-hopping phenomenon Because of the Economy..., as well as a critically acclaimed production of Strindberg's seldom-staged masterpiece A Dream Play. For more information about Dalliance, please visit www.DallianceTheater.com.

Who Is Jordan Bishop? performs March 5, 6, 8, 11, 12 & 13 at 8pm and March 7 & 14 at 3pm. The show is 90 minutes long with no intermission and is suitable for everyone 15 years of age and older. All performances will be at Theaterlab (137 W. 14th Street, between 6th and 7th Avenues).

Tickets are only $10 and can be purchased on-line at www.DallianceTheater.com.

WHO IS JORDAN BISHOP? is an Actors' Equity Showcase, pending approval.
