The cast of off-Broadway's little gem, Sistas: The Musical, will pay tribute to civil rights leader Martin Luther King, on Monday, January 20 with a rousing rendition of "We are Family". A full Gospel Choir will join the cast during the halftime show at the Knicks game, for a performance that promises to bring the audience to its feet.

Sistas has just begun its fourth straight year at St. Luke's Theatre, in the heart of Broadway, with performances every Saturday and Sunday at 4:30pm.

Conceived by Fulbright Scholar Dr. Dorothy Marcic, Sistas delivers a powerful story of family, love empowerment and discovery. Using a playlist of more than 30 top-40 hits spanning a 100 year period, the cast of Sistas takes audiences on a historical journey that dates back to the harsh realities of a segregated South, to the fight for civil and women's rights, to the current state of social and cultural changes in America.

The recipient of numerous award nominations, Sistas was filmed before a live audience and released in DVD format last year. The film version has aired numerous times on BET. With February Black History Month around the corner, Sistas: The Musical is the perfect way to celebrate and honor the past.

Sistas: The Musical is currently playing at St Luke's Theatre (308 W. 46th St). Performances are Saturdays and Sundays at 4:30pm. Tickets are available online at: www.Telecharge.com. Special group discount rates are available by calling - (212) 977-5925. For more information visit: www.sistasthemusical.com.
