CHOICES & CONSEQUENCES, New Play About Male Infertility in the African American Community, Begins Off-Broadway

By:

MOC Entertainment has announced that it will present the world premiere of CHOICES & CONSEQUENCES, a candid new play (based on a true story) written and directed by Marlon Orlando Cole about the complexities that arise when one African American couple's solid relationship encounters the issue of male infertility, tonight, July 7th, at St. Luke's Theater, 308 West 46th Street. The production will play on Friday nights at 8PM at Saturday afternoons at 1:30PM through July 29th.

He's a black man that doesn't fall into the stereotype of not having his life together. She's a black woman that isn't somebody's baby momma with drama. They are a power couple - each convinced that they've found 'the one.' But what happens to a power couple when the complexities of infertility present themselves?

"Infertility played a pivotal role in the demise of my previous marriage," says Cole. "My perception of myself as a strong black man began to fade. I felt weak, emasculated and that my manhood would always be called into question whether audible or inaudible, spoken or unspoken. I felt inadequate and subsequently fell into depression. Tackling it on a live stage offers me opportunity to purge those negative emotions that resulted from this experience and turn it into something very positive."

The cast of CHOICES & CONSEQUENCES features Charese Annel, N'Fa Thomas, Iliana Paris, Thomas Duverne, L.K., and Swavian Ian H Loney.

Playwright Marlon Orlando Cole is an ordained minister who has spent the last 12 years working as an investment advisor in the financial district of Wall Street. He holds several licenses in finance and economics. With Choices & Consequences, he returns to his first love of story telling and poetry.

Performances of CHOICES & CONSEQUENCES will run at St. Luke's Theatre, which is located at 308 West 46th Street in New York City. The play will run July 7-29, 2017, Fridays - July 7, 14, 21 and 28 at 8PM and Saturdays - July 8, 15, 22 and 29 at 1:30PM. Tickets are $39.50 - 49.50 and can be purchased by calling 212-239-6200 or online at www.telecharge.com.
