TV: Go Behind the Scenes with Off-Broadway's RING TWICE FOR MIRANDA
Rehearsals kicked off in December for the new play Ring Twice for Miranda, written by Alan Hruska (Laugh It Up, Stare It Down; The Man on Her Mind; New House under Construction) and directed by Rick Lombardo (San Jose Rep Artistic Director from 2008-2014, The Snow Queen, Bill W. and Dr. Bob). The full cast includes: William Connell (A View From the Bridge, The Coast of Utopia), Katie Kleiger(Juno and the Paycock, Blue Stockings, Miss Bennet), Ian Lassiter (War Horse, An Octoroon), Graeme Malcolm (Equus, Translations, Aida), George Merrick (Honeymoon In Vegas, South Pacific, High Fidelity), Daniel Pearce (Machinal, ...Spelling Bee), and Talia Thiesfield (Man of La Mancha,"Veep").
Ring Twice for Miranda is a tragi-comedy set in difficult times, roiled by economic upheavals. A man known only as Sir rules with a vengeance, but it's Miranda, a chambermaid, who adds intrigue to his life. When Elliot, the butler, is fired, she flees with him in defiance onto the frightening streets. All must soon make critical decisions with imperfect facts to guide them, since little in their world is as it appears.
Premiering at New York City Center Stage II (131 West 55th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues) beginning January 24th, the play will officially open on February 12th.
