AL'S BUSINESS CARDS, a new comedy by Josh Koenigsberg, will be given its world-premiere this summer with previews beginning July 30 prior to an official press opening August 9 at the Lion Theater on Theater Row (410 W. 42 St.). The play is directed by Lauren Keating.

AL'S BUSINESS CARDS is presented by At Play, a company of emerging theater artists formed as part of The 24 Hour Plays: Old Vic New Voices program, a co-production of Kevin Spacey's The Old Vic Theatre in London and The 24 Hour Company. In AL'S BUSINESS CARDS, when New Jersey Gaffing Assistant Al Gurvis accidentally gets his new business cards swapped with those of real-estate agent Eileen Lee, he's mildly annoyed. Little does he know that this tiny mix up has sparked a chain reaction that will ruin his life. The play is described as "a comedy about waking up from the American dream."

The cast of AL'S BUSINESS CARDS features Azhar Khan (Upright Citizen's Brigade); Lauren Hines ("Rescue Me" on FX-TV); along with Bobby Moreno ("Kings" on NBC-TV), Malcolm Madera ("The Pied Pipers of the Lower East Side" at P.S. 122) and Gabriel Gutierrez ("Without a Trace," CBS).

Lighting design is by Tito Fleetwood Ladd, set design by Jian Jung, associate set designer is Tsubasa Kamei, with technical direction by Live Event Pros. AL'S BUSINESS CARDS is produced by Kelcie Beene and Carly Hugo on behalf of At Play.
