59E59 Theaters Presents 'AMERICAS OFF BROADWAY' Festival 5/8 - 7/3

59E59 Theaters (Elysabeth Kleinhans, Artistic Director; Peter Tear, Executive Producer) is proud to announce the AMERICAS OFF BROADWAY festival taking place at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison Avenues). AMERICAS OFF BROADWAY kicks off on Friday, May 8 and runs through Friday, July 3. A 5-StarCard (one ticket to each show in the festival) is available for $100 ($85 for 59E59 Members).

Dressler scrambles to keep the basement scullery of an upscale eatery functioning, marshaling his rag-tag team with a stream of hilarious rhetoric and old-fashioned working class pride. His fellow wage slaves, the ancient Moss and the downwardly mobile Emmett, just can't seem to grasp his inspirational style. Playwright Morris Panych brings his inimitable style - walking the razor's edge between comedy and tragedy - to the plight of men working in the lower depths of a high end restaurant.

Brian Dykstra's signature style crackles in this uproarious romp through backyard suburbia where two (slightly above) Average Joes spar in a relentlessly fanatical pursuit of what is said, what is intended, and what is.
