50 Shades! The Musical, the original parody (50ShadesTheMusical.com) has postponed the start of performances because of technical issues with The Elektra Theatre. The financing of the show is in place and a new start date will be announced for early 2014 shortly.

50 Shades! The Musical is about sex, humor, and bondage. Adapted from one of the most popular books of all time, it features the infamous characters ChristIan Grey and Anastasia Steele, whose intensely erotic relationship comes to laugh-out-loud life in this new parody, with original songs, for the stage.

Since author E.L. James book was published, more than 70 million copies have been sold worldwide. Universal Studios will release the film August 1, 2014.

With a book by Al Samuels, Amanda Blake Davis, Emily Dorezas, Jody Shelton, Ashley Ward, and Dan Wessels, and music and lyrics by Al Samuels, Amanda Blake Davis, Jody Shelton, Ashley Ward and Dan Wessels, 50 Shades! The Musical has Set and Costume Design by John Dunnett, Lighting Design by Herrick Goldman, and Sound Design by Matt Kraus. Joy Dewing is the casting director.
