Vestiges follows Maya and Craig, a married couple whose relationship unravels under the weight of untreated mental illness, fractured memories, and unresolved trauma.

We're Casting

NOW SEEKING BLACK/AFRICAN AMERICAN PERFORMERS

Maya (lead, female, 30-40): A deeply layered, emotionally demanding lead. Must navigate love, fear, vulnerability, and psychological suspense as her perception of reality gradually unravels. Requires exceptional dramatic range, emotional authenticity, and subtlety. Comfortable humming a recurring musical motif. Movement or dance experience is a plus. Medium build preferred.

Craig (lead, male, 30-40): An emotionally demanding leading role requiring exceptional dramatic range. Craig is fiercely loyal, compassionate, and resilient, fighting to preserve his marriage while enduring an unrelenting cycle of hope, heartbreak, and emotional turmoil. Athletic build preferred.

Mrs. Ellis (supporting, female, 65-75): Maya's mother. A small but emotionally significant supporting role. Mrs. Ellis carries years of guilt, regret, and unresolved grief as she questions whether she failed her daughter when it mattered most. Seeking an actress capable of conveying quiet heartbreak, maternal love, and emotional authenticity. Frail/small build preferred.

Therapist (supporting, male, 45-60): An intelligent, observant couples' counselor who approaches every session with patience, logic, and compassion. Calm, analytical, and quietly persistent, he works to uncover the truth behind a couple's unraveling marriage. Seeking an actor with a comforting presence, subtle emotional restraint, and strong listening skills. Lean build preferred.

Young Maya (day players, female, 7-9): Maya at age seven. A brief but emotionally pivotal flashback role that reveals the roots of her lifelong journey. Seeking a natural, expressive young actress who can portray innocence, vulnerability, and quiet emotional depth.
