TWELFTH NIGHT - Upstart Arts Non Equity Auditions

Join us from anywhere. Upstart Arts brings a lively, queer friendly, contemporary ensemble flair to classic plays. And now we are returning to our Shakespearean roots, with an emphasis on language, music, and physical comedy. For Twelfth Night, we are seeking a diverse comic ensemble, willing to work together via Zoom

I will give out diverse schedules of my beauty. Countess Olivia, lost in grief, suddenly finds interest in another feeling. The grieving Viola finds herself tossed from a literal shipwreck to an emotional one as Olivia and the Count Orsino both become drawn to the identity hiding her. Can she convince anyone she's not her brother before swords are drawn? Would it matter? Twelfth Night is a maelstrom of mistaken identity and misplaced attraction, still resonant today, in a world that gives Viola's dilemma modern possibilities.
