CDC Theatre announces auditions for “DEAR EDWINA”, Book and Lyrics by Marcy Heisler, Music by Zina Goldrich Auditions: September 14th at 12:00 Callbacks (by request only): September 16th at 7:00pm Rehearsals begin mid- September with performances: Dec. 6th at7:30, Dec. 7th at 1:30, 4:30, 7:30 and Dec. 8th at 1:30 Please prepare 16 bars from an upbeat song. An accompanist will be provided. CASTING:3 men and 3 women (18 and over, adults playing kids) Characters:Edwina Spoonapple - An advice-giver extraordinaire and director/star of the Spoonapple Repertory Theatre. Confident, dramatic, ambitious, but caring. Range: A3-G5 Billy Vanderploonk- Edwina’s friend, one of the Vanderploonk twins. Goofy, young, boyish. Range: B2-G5 Kelli Poshkonozovich - Edwina’s cool and sophisticated next door neighbor; snobby and a show off. Also doubles as Katie Spoonapple, math whiz. Range: A3-C6 Bobby Newsome - Edwina’s new friend. He is unfamiliar with “show business” and is hesitant to join. Outgoing and friendly. Range: A3-G5 Annie Smith Meenahan Johnson - Edwina’s close friend and Girl Scout cookie selling champion. Doubles as Ann Van Buren, the Kalamazoo Advice-a-Palooza talent scout Range: G3-G5 Scott - Edwina’s friend. Humble, shy, and hopelessly in love with Edwina Range: E3-A5 All auditions, rehearsals and performances will be held at CDC Theatre, 78 Winans Ave, Cranford, NJ.
