This school holidays, bring the tamariki to see Its Alive! a brand-new theatre show for the whole whnau. This fun and silly show, designed especially for tamariki aged 5-10, features science experiments live on stage, and gives kids the opportunity to directly influence the actors decisions and show storyline. The show follows two young wannabe scientists played by Dylan Underwood (Badjelly the Witch, Mrs Wishy Washy) and Rebecca Stubbing (Legally Blonde, The Addams Family). The pair try to do their Best Experiment Ever, only for it to go horribly wrong and accidentally create a puppet. Will the puppet be a friend, or will they cause chaos for the kids to clean up before mum gets home? Brought to you by Improverished, the improvised theatre company behind family-friendly shows like 'Random Fairytale Generator' and 'Choose Your Own Adventure'. Its Alive! is their latest show, and its sure to bring the same sense of joy and silliness as their other beloved performances.All the science experiments have been designed with careful consultation with chemists to ensure the safety of the audience, and they can be done at home as school holiday projects.Its Alive! combines theatre, comedy, science, puppetry, and improvisation into a joyful 45-minute adventure that will blast your socks off.This show has been designed especially for primary-school aged tamariki (ages 5-10) and their whnau, but can be enjoyed by audiences of all ages. We do not recommend this show for children aged 3 and under.Vaccine passes will not be required to attend this performance, however masks will be required for all audience members over the age of 5. The Factory Theatre is wheelchair accessible.
