Stagecraft presents The Wife Who Spoke Japanese in Her Sleep by Vivienne Plumb.

Summary of the play: The first play of Stagecraft's 2012 season, this is a quirky comedy drama written by award-winning New Zealand poet, novelist and playwright, Vivienne Plumb. Plumb beautifully portrays Japanese culture while allowing us to laugh at our own Kiwi ways.

Described as a '21st-century Antipodean Shirley Valentine', this play promises to be a heart-warming comedy for all to enjoy, blending elements of Japanese Kabuki theatre with modern audiovisual effects.

Dates and times: Wednesday 21 to Saturday 24 March 2012 at 8 pm, Sunday 25 March at 3 pm, Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 November at 6.30 pm, Thursday 29 to Saturday 31 November at 8 pm

Ticket prices: $22 waged adults, $20 seniors, unwaged adults and tertiary students, $15 Stagecraft members and high-school students with valid ID. Two tickets for $22 on the first Thursday for all ticket categories.
