Nashville's JT Harding Developing MUSIC CITY, USA at Amphibian

Amphibian Stage Productions (Kathleen Culebro, Artistic Director) will develop Music City, USA, a new musical with music and lyrics by JT Harding and book by Peter Zinn. Featuring actors Alex Ross, Kelsey Lake, Braden Socia, Will Adams, Brandon Murphy, Kelsey Milbourn, Cara Serber, Jacob Nice, and Greg Dulcie, Music City, USA will have two performances, on Sunday, August 21 at 2pm and Monday, August 22 at 7pm, in the Berlene T. and Jarrell R. Milburn Theatre at Amphibian Stage Productions. Mary Catherine Burke will direct and Jacob Nice will music direct.

TJ and 23 are two young songwriters with big dreams that their music will pave the way to better lives. They meet and fall in love at a gritty Nashville club, but things spin out of control when TJ borrows money from the wrong guy to record a demo. Romeo and Juliet meets Cabaret in this exciting Texas developmental premiere with music by JT Harding, which includes the smash country hits "Smile" (made famous by Uncle Kracker), "Somewhere With You" (a hit for Kenny Chesney), "Somewhere In My Car" (made famous by Keith Urban), "Sangria" (performed onThe Voice by Blake Shelton), and "Different For Girls," performed on The Late Show and The CMT Awards by Dierks Bentley and Elle King. Music City, USAexplores the risks you take to bet on yourself.

Tickets to Music City, USA are $20, with additional discounts available for seniors, students, members of the theatre community, and groups of 10 or more. There will be two staged readings of the musical: Sunday, August 21 at 2pm andMonday, August 22 at 7pm.
