The Devil dreams of returning to heaven and to God's side. Title 66 Productions invites Montreal to attend the trial of the Devil, presented at Theatre Rouge in the Conservatoire d'art dramatique de Montreal from February 29th to March 4th. If he can prove that humanity is indeed culpable for many of his alleged crimes, he may return to paradise forever. From the creative mind of Clive Barker, master engineer of fantasy and horror, The History of the Devil tells the satiric tale of the Devil's trial at the hands of the human race, with whom he's shared the world for millennia.

The Reverend Kenneth M. Near, Rector, is will offer a free Lenten programme for 2012; a speakers series around the theme of honour. Lectures take place over the next four Sunday mornings at St. Matthias' Church in Westmount and encourage interactive Q & A interludes throughout. Talks include: Donald Boisvert (teacher and author of several articles dealing with the gay community's interaction with the church) on Honour, and the Emerging Church of the 21st Century; The Honourable Justin Trudeau (Liberal MP for Papineau) on Honour, and the Building of a Just Society; Roy L Heenan (internationally respected lawyer and scholar) on Honour, and the Law and Patricia Kirkpatrick (Chair, McGill Biblical Studies Department) on Honour, and the Shadows of Feminine Idealization.

Infinithéâtre Presents THE LEISURE SOCIETY, March 6-25

Infinitheatre will present the Quebec English language premiere of the award-winning play, The Leisure Society (La Societe de loisirs), by Francois Archambault, translated by Bobby Theodore, from March 6-25 at Bain St-Michel. Along with director Ellen David, the cast and design team features Montreal's finest theatre artists from both the English and French sectors including actors Daniel Brochu (presently in Scientific Americans at the Segal Centre), Catherine De Seve (previously seen in Dangerous Liaisons at the Segal Centre and long-time member of L'auberge du chien noir on Radio-Canada), Sheena Gaze-Deslandes (The Daily Miracle, Infinitheatre) and Howard Rosenstein (hot off his praised portrayal of lawyer Hugh Rose in Ars Poetica, Infinitheatre).
