After Bard Fiction's success at the Toronto Fringe this summer, Beyond the Mountain (BtM) brings this Shakespearean retelling of Quentin Tarantino's cult classic, Pulp Fiction, to Mainline Theatre from Sept. 18 to 28, 2014. Written by Aaron Greer, Ben Tallen and Brian Watson-Jones, this production, directed by Christopher Moore, features live music and sound effects by Shayne Gryn to create a truly unique and fun theatrical experience of Tarantino's opus as if it were onstage in Elizabethan England.

Tara Bissett was always interested in the arts. Born in Montreal and raised in Montreal, Ontario and the US, her parents encouraged her from an early age to involve herself in art classes and choir in school. Having traveled overseas just after high school, Bissett returned to Montreal for university and has remained ever since. Bissett was shy as child, so although she loved the idea of theatre, she was too shy to go out for lead roles or solos and instead performed in the ensemble, keeping herself in the background. She focused primarily on the visual arts, eventurally earning a degree in Fine Art.

Anisa Cameron was born to be in showbiz. Born in New York, but raised under the bright lights of the Las Vegas strip, Her grandmother was a Rockette, her father was the lead singer of the Folies Bergere at the Tiffany Theatre inside the Tropicana and her mother, a dancer, was a chorus girl who worked her way up to company manager. Says Cameron, 'Vegas in the 80's was, and still is, a place where performers can have a modicum of stability. You can raise a family, own a home and basically live a normal life. Excpet you're working nights. [You can] still have all of the amenities of community and family, without the stress of wondering where your next gig coming from or how you're going to raise your children.' Cameron and her brother, a dancer, were more or less raised backstage at the Tiffany Theatre. Although their parents begged and pleaded, both chose to pursue a life in the arts.
