The April 11th performances of Greg & Steve have been cancelled. Patrons holding tickets to these performances are being contacted by the Marcus Center. Refunds will be issued. Anyone holding tickets for the show who has further questions is encouraged to contact the Group Sales Department at the Marcus Center.
A complex mechanical system used to set up components of the acoustical shell in Uihlein Hall malfunctioned on Tuesday, April 5 while the Marcus Center Staff was moving the shell into position on the stage. The malfunction has resulted in the ceiling portion of the shell being stuck in a mid-stage position. Engineering experts continue to work with Marcus Center staff to resolve the problem in the safest way possible.
"We are disappointed to have to cancel these shows," said Paul Mathews, President & CEO Marcus Center. "We had really hoped that the repairs to the shell would be completed before Monday's scheduled performances. We will try to reschedule performances of Greg & Steve for some time next season."
The Marcus Center and Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra are continuing to work closely together with the goal of getting the repairs completed so the MSO can perform their upcoming concerts as scheduled in Uihlein Hall.
