The HandleBards Bring Shakespeare's AS YOU LIKE IT to Malaysia

The HandleBards present Shakespeare's As You Like It, 29 January-10 February 2018.

Rosalind, the daughter of a banished duke, falls in love with Orlando at a wrestling match. Her usurping uncle, jealous of her popularity banishes her from court. Disguised as a boy, she leaves with her cousin Celia and the jester Touchstone, to seek out her father in the Forest of Arden. Here she meets Orlando again and, under the guise of a young man, Ganymede, counsels him in the art of love and wooing.

This will be The Handlebards' fourth visit to Malaysia - A Midsummer Night's Dream, Much Ado About Nothing, followed by Romeo & Juliet and now - As You Like It! These beautifully British and brazenly bonkers actress will perform their side-splitting production of the Bard's hilarious tale of two lovers becoming entangled in a beguiling game of love, lust and mistaken identity! Expect a fast paced and irreverent performance, ideal for introducing young audience to the Bard!
