Kentucky Center to Screen THE POTTER'S FIELD at Bomhard Theater, 8/27

By:

What happens to the homeless when they die? THE POTTER'S FIELD documents high school students in Louisville, KY who volunteer to give funeral services for the unknown, homeless and otherwise indigent members of their community. The story of the students is juxtaposed by the stark realities of how other cities, specifically Chicago and New York, dispose of their less fortunate.

The Kentucky Center will screen the documentary on Tuesday, August 27 at 7 p.m. at Bomhard Theater. Tickets are $9, with $1 from every ticket purchased benefiting the Louisville Coalition of the Homeless. Kentucky Center Members call the Member hotline at 502-562-0144. Standard tickets available at www.kentuckycenter.org/presents, by phone (502-584-7777, 800-775-7777), and in-person at The Kentucky Center box office and drive-thru. Please call (502) 562-0111 (V) for information about the range of accessibility options we offer to enhance your performance experience.

THE POTTER'S FIELD was filmed and directed by Louisville native, Edward Heavrin with assistance from Nick Weis. It is executive produced by Gill Holland in association with The Group Entertainment.
The screening will last approximately 45 minutes, and will conclude with a post film Q&A with Carrie Nath, Executive Director of the Governor's School for the Arts program, a program from which film director Edward Heavrin is an alumnus.
