Teens Sought for 2012 So Cal Tour-Theatre Group Tackles School Bullying

Phantom Projects Theatre Group is holding auditions for actors ages 15-19 to travel to Southern California schools and youth groups with a production of The Center of the Universe. Auditions will be held on Monday December 12th by appointment from 6pm-8pm at the group’s rehearsal hall located at 15517 Phoebe Ave, La Mirada, 90638.

The company is seeking actors to perform about serious topics such as bullying, racism, violence, and prejudice. The tour will visit local middle schools and high schools and will also feature a post-show discussion between the young audience and the cast. The production will also be performed as part of Phantom Projects’ 2011-2012 Season at the La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts on May 10, 2012.

There is no pay for the actors, and there is no cost to be involved.

ABOUT PHANTOM PROJECTS THEATRE GROUP

Phantom Projects, a non-profit organization, is a resident presenting group at the La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts and also produces educational programming at schools and youth groups. Tackling timely topics such as racism, prejudice, violence, teen pregnancy, and drug and alcohol abuse, each program is inspired by true stories and is written by a high school educator with 38 years of teaching experience.
