Nelson De La Nuez Hosts Book Release Signing & Exhibition at Cartoon Network Studios

By:

World-renowned pop artist Nelson De La Nuez will be appearing at the Cartoon Network Studios in Burbank for an artist's reception, book release signing and art sales, sponsored by the studios on January 6, 2011 from 5:30pm-7:00pm, located at 300 North 3rd St., Burbank, CA 91502.
De La Nuez's coffee table book, "Pop Americana: The Pop Art of Nelson De La Nuez," was recently published by Pop Land Publishing and is now available for worldwide distribution for interested stores/buyers. The artist also released a limited edition boxed set signed book that includes a micro portfolio of ten (10) limited signed prints and the regular book, which he will also be signing at this event.

The 168-page, full-color hardback coffee table book is a collection of the artist's pop images, along with fascinating stories about the art, how it was created and the background of the artist. The book also features fun quotes and insights from his celebrity collectors, along with a look inside his creative mind. He is known as the King of Pop Art and several of his pieces became infamous after Michael Jackson bought them just before his death. His vast body of work is sold at galleries and auctions worldwide. The artist is known for his distinctive trademark style called "Art on the Edge," which is creating art on all sides of the canvas. His work can be seen and purchased at http://www.kingofpopart.com

The Cartoon Network exhibition will feature a wide overview of the artist's work, both hand-painted pieces and prints. The show will stay up through the end of the month; however, the reception with the artist present along with food and wine will only be on Jan. 6 from 5:30pm-7:00pm. We are awaiting firm confirmation from celebrities attending and they may be posted in an upcoming release.

In the licensing world, the pop artist recently debuted his original, trendy line of covers for iPhones, and a clothing line that licensed his artwork will be branding the selections for a 2011 collection.
