La Mirada Theatre Holds TRIBUTE FRIDAYS Concert Series

LA MIRADA THEATRE FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS is thrilled to announce a new September series that will kick off its new season, TRIBUTE FRIDAYS, featuring the most authentic tribute bands around paying homage to Van Halen, Stevie Nicks, Eagles and AC/DC! Concert dates are Friday, September 10, 2010 at 8pm and Friday, September 24, 2010 at 8pm. The lobby bar will open for Happy Hour at 6pm.

Tributes to Van Halen and AC/DC

FAN HALEN brings back the party-time hard-rocking live music of "classic" Van Halen with a true-to-life tribute to not only the band but the spirit of an era in a transformation that has been described as amazingly authentic. As for the music, these are songs that are simply etched in our memory banks. "Ain't Talkin' Bout Love," "Jamie's Cryin'," "Hot For Teacher," and their number one hit, "Jump." When they're performed live and with the spirit of the original, they take you back to a time when Van Halen shook the earth!

BONFIRE: A tribute to early AC/DC, they are as talented as the original in their efforts to retain the music that set the world on hellfire. Bandmates Steve Pandol, Sean Mulvihill, Sean Colligan, Forrest Everett and James Pulli combine to make a perfect visual and auditory recreation of AC/DC. BONFIRE has developed a dedicated following to the extent that their L.A. fans (The Bonfire Brigade) travel the lengths of the Atlantic Ocean to see them at the world's largest annual AC/DC festival in Wexham, Wales.

BELLA DONNA / DESPERADO

BELLA DONNA: A tribute to Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac. Based in Southern California, the critically acclaimed tribute show, BELLA DONNA, re-creates Stevie Nicks in concert. The band, named after the artist's double-platinum album, portrays the singer and her music (solo and with Fleetwood Mac), in a stunningly accurate depiction. From the attention to detail given to the music and vocal impersonations, to the authentic wardrobe and staging, BELLA DONNA will amaze with their ability to take their audience into a high-energy Stevie Nicks performance. More than just a tribute, BELLA DONNA is a live, 8-piece, full-blown rock concert you don't want to miss!

DESPERADO: The Premier Eagles Tribute consists of five talented members who have setout to resurrect the melody, harmony and musicianship that Southern California's own chart-topping Eagles became known for. DESPERADO musically demonstrates the fact that imitation is the highest form of flattery.
