Barbara Ward and Matt Borzello to Perform SIDE BY SIDE, 12/3
Two Sun City singers, Barbara Ward and Matt Borzello, will present their new cabaret show, "Side By Side" at the Arthur Newman Theater in Palm Desert on Sunday, December 3, 2017 along with Wayne Abravanel on piano. Showtime is 2:00 PM with $15 tickets sold only at the door which opens at 1:00 PM. The Arthur Newman Theater is located at the Joslyn Center, 73750 Catalina Way in Palm Desert.
Barbara Ward is a multi-faceted jewel in the music world whose song styles range from Ballads, Jazz and Blues, to Broadway, as well as Pop, Rock and Country. With her rich Alto voice, Barbara is well-known for her powerful song interpretation. Barbara arrived to the desert from Los Angeles where she studied music and lyric writing with such notables as Buddy Kaye, Jack Segal, and Buddy Stuart. She recently returned from Nashville, where she recorded 8 of her Gospel Songs for a soon to be released album.
As a resident vocalist in the Performing Arts Club of Sun City - Palm Desert, she's performed in several of their musical productions, as well as house concerts in the area. Sharing the stage will be Matt Borzello, a singer, actor, and entertainer who's performed the lead in such shows as "South Pacific", and as Fyedka in "Fiddler On The Roof. Matt is a also a member of the Sun City Performing Arts Club, performing in numerous productions, as well as at supper clubs in Los Angeles and the desert areas. Considered a romantic crooner, Matt will be singing many popular classics from the Great American Songbook, and joining Barbara for a few duets.
