SNL Alum Kevin Nealon Brings Stand Up Act to the Suncoast Showroom, April 2-3
Comedic performer and Saturday Night Live alum Kevin Nealon will perform his stand up act at the Suncoast Showroom, April 2 and 3, each evening at 7:30 p.m.
Perhaps best known for this nine-year stint as a cast member of NBC's Saturday Night Live, Nealon has attracted quite a following and received critical acclaim for his role in the Showtime series Weeds, nominated twice for a Golden Globe Award and twice for a Screen Actors Guild Award.
Nealon can currently be seen in movie theaters in the Adam Sandler comedy Just Go with It, starring alongside Sandler, Jennifer Aniston and Nicole Kidman. Nealon stars as "Adon," one half of a plastic-surgery-obsessed couple. Nealon can also be heard as the voice of the title role in the stop-motion animated series Glenn Martin, DDS, airing on Nick at Nite.
Nealon's other film credits include, Anger Management, Remarkable Power, Born to Be a Star, Aliens in the Attic, Eight Crazy Nights, The Wedding Singer, You Don't Mess With the Zohan, Daddy Day Care and Roxanne, among many others.
In addition to creating some of Saturday Night Live's most memorable characters such as ‘The Subliminal Man' and ‘Hans and Franz', Nealon has had numerous guest appearances on television shows such as Monk, Fat Actress, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Still Standing. He also hosted TBS's Funniest Commercials of the Year multiple times.
Nealon's first one-hour stand up special Kevin Nealon: Now Hear Me Out! aired on Showtime to rave reviews in late 2009 and is now available on DVD. His book Yes, You're Pregnant But What About Me?, a comical look at the male perspective of pregnancy, is available in bookstores now.
