In a never-before-seen combination of city and festival grounds, Life is Beautiful Festival reveals the 15 city blocks it will secure and incorporate into its music, food, art and learning event on October 26-27, 2013 in historic Downtown Las Vegas.
Expecting to attract tens of thousands people per day of the two-day event, Life is Beautiful will be hosted within a layout unlike any other festival of its kind. "This is the first time in Las Vegas history that this volume of city streets have been blocked off and included within a special event," said festival co-founder and CEO Rehan Choudhry. "It's typical for festivals such as ours to be hosted in parks or open areas that can be fenced in, or spread across numerous businesses within a city, but never the combination of the two."
With the cooperation of The City of Las Vegas and Downtown Project, the Life is Beautiful perimeter will create an "L-shaped" footprint of blocks from Las Vegas Boulevard to 10th Street, and Cason Avenue to Mesquite Ave. Within the footprint more than 40 businesses will be programmed with events and activations, requiring the collective cooperation of the surrounding community.
"The support of the city officials and inclusive businesses is paramount to the success of this event," continues Choudhry. "In no other place in the world would we be able to put on this type of festival, and for that we are continually grateful."
Parking and shuttle information will be released in coming weeks. To purchase tickets, or to find detailed information about the festival grounds, transportation to and from the festival, or event programming, visit www.lifeisbeautifulfestival.com.
