The unique play was written by British playwright Peter Shaffer and has received numerous awards since first appearing on Broadway in 1973; including a Tony Award for the Best Play on Broadway and the NY Drama Critic's Award. "EQUUS" is a thought-provoking play about a boy who has blinded six horses; Dr. Martin Dysart is a psychiatrist attempting to understand the reasons behind the boy's actions and who is also facing his own complex sense of purpose. The play has become a timeless classic and is a cornerstone of contemporary drama.

At the Barn Players the show is directed by Diane Bulan and features Paul Orwick, J. Will Fritz, Sean Leistico, Michele Cotton, Dee Dee Diemer, Alisa Lynn, Walter Winch, Richard Burt, Meghann Deveroux and in the chorus Nataleigh Brull, Julie Miller and Andy Venemman.
