(08/29/2011) - On Saturday August 27, 2011, BroadwayWorld.com's CEO/Editor-in-Chief Robert Diamond, in the midst of Hurricane Irene married actress Jennifer Hallie Rosen after a 17 month engagement. The two were introduced by a friend of Rosen's, who wasn't able to make the wedding, as a result of the weather and warnings throughout all the boroughs. The BroadwayWorld.com News Desk stayed feverish all weekend while the couple said 'I Do', as news was coming fast about theatre cancellations, schedule changes and travel advisories in addition to all things that were happening in other parts of the country and the world, not affected by the Northeast's local weather.

(07/26/2010) - Freddie Company in association with TKO Entertainment proudly presents the U.S. Premiere of the Japanese musical Freddie the Leaf, written and directed by Takashi Inuishi, conceived by Dr. Shigeaki Hinohara, with music and lyrics by Shoichi Tama and starring popular Japanese film actor, Akira Takarada, and a cast of 21 Japanese teens and children. Freddie the Leaf runs from August 13 - 15, 2010 in a limited engagement at John Jay College's Gerald W. Lynch Theater, located at 899 Tenth Avenue, between 58 and 59 Streets, in NYC.

(12/05/2008) - In a true 'Coast to Coast' moment - SPRING AWAKENING's Hunter Parrish (Melchior) met up with Kyle Riabko (also Melchior) after a performance of Spring Awakening at The Ahmanson Theater this week. Hunter was in town for a very quick trip, and stopped in to see the show, and visit and swap stories with them after the show - then back to NYC and the Great White Way! The National Tour of Spring Awakening continues through this weekend in Los Angeles, and then is booked through the end of 2009 all across the country.

THE HAIRSPRAY WORKSHOP, took place on November 1, 2008 in New York City. This Workshop gave students the opportunity to work on every area of musical theater performance.

The production, featuring ensemble members Francis Guinan and Jon Michael Hill with Christine Bunuan, Gerson Dacanay, Mary Ann de la Cruz, Christopher Larkin, Aiko Nakasone, Andrew Pang, David Rhee and Lisa Tejero, runs September 18 - November 16, 2008 in Steppenwolf's Downstairs Theatre, 1650 N. (10/06/2008) - Josephson Entertainment, Erich Jungwirth/VoiceChair Productions and Richard Jordan Productions Ltd present the off-Broadway premiere of 'Basic Training,' a new comedy created by and starring Kahlil Ashanti. 'Basic Training' is a hilarious story based on one soldier's outrageous experience in the U.S. Air Force. Performances began at the Barrow Street Theatre (27 Barrow St. at 7th Avenue, 1 block south of Christopher Street) on Friday, Sept. 26th with an official opening on Monday, October 13th.
