Sultan's Pool in Jerusalem and the base of the jaw-dropping Masada mountain near Israel's Dead Sea turns into a theatrically lit stage for productions by the Israeli Opera during the yearly Israeli Opera Festival. Catch concerts at churches throughout Jerusalem also.
In 2011, Italy's Arena di Verona Orchestra perform at Sultan's Pool in Jerusalem and accompany the Israeli Opera for Verdi's famous Messa da Requiem at Masada. The Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion accompany the Israeli Opera for Aida and the acclaimed Italian tenor, Andrea Bocelli, for a gala concert at Masada. The Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra accompany the Israeli Opera for Verdi's Jerusalem at Sultan's Pool in Jerusalem.
