Remains | Magnhild Opdøl runs 17th June - 14th July at The Gallery, Roscommon Arts Centre

'Remains' presents a body of work that examines the process of death. From the curious eye of the viewer, the fearful eye of the escaping animal and the playful eye of the hunter. This collection of works employ several art disciplines ranging from drawing, sculpture and video.

Magnhild Opdøl (1980) was born in Norway, and is now living and working in Ireland. In 2011 she was awarded the Tony O'Malley Residency in Callan, Co Kilkenny. Since graduating from the National College of Art and Design with a MFA in 2007 she has widely exhibited both in Ireland and internationally and her work in included in many public and private collections.

Most recent exhibitions incluce FUTURES 10, Royal Hibernian Academy, Dublin; Draiocht Arts Centre and Droichead Arts Centre (2010). Upcoming shows include Galway Arts Centre and Molde Arts centre, Norway later in 2011 and KUBE Art Museum, Haugesund Kunstforening and Tegnerforbundet, Oslo, Norway in 2012 - 2013.
