Queensbury Theatre Continues 60th Anniversary Season with Epic Thriller
Queensbury Theatre, 12777 Queensbury Lane, Houston, 77024 is proud to present THE WOMAN IN BLACK. Based on the novel by Susan Hill, this theatrical adaptation written by Stephen Mallatratt is known for frightening audiences worldwide with the tale of the mysterious woman in black. This classic is one of London's highest ranking and longest running shows.
Patrons refer to this ghost play as "A real theatrical spine chiller" and "A truly nerve-shredding experience". Staying true to the Halloween season, Queensbury Theatre's offering will not disappoint - "Providing a pleasurable ripple of fear down one's spine and an uncomfortable lurch in the pit of one's stomach."
The plot involves a lawyer obsessed with a curse that he believes has been cast over him and his family by the spectre of a Woman in Black. Determined to lift the curse, the lawyer engages a sceptical young actor to help him tell his terrifying story and exorcise the fear that grips his soul. It all begins innocently enough, but then, as they reach further into his darkest memories, they find themselves caught up in a world of eerie marshes and moaning winds.
Directed by Erick Domuret, THE WOMAN IN BLACK features Zachary Reeves, Dylan Marks, and Valentina Olarte.
THE WOMAN IN BLACK opens on October 21, 2016 and plays until November 5. Performances are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings, with one Sunday evening on Oct 30, and a special performance on Halloween night.
