Hong Kong Philharmonic performs National Day Concert: Music Of Heroes And Legends in September. The performance is on 26 September 2025 at Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall.
HK Phil's National Day concert belongs to the heroes. The Hong Kong premiere of Tan Dun's Violin Concerto Hero captures the vast artistic vision of the epic martial arts world, while Elliot Leung’s Wuxia depicts the chivalrous spirit of Jin Yong's novels through music.
Opening with Shostakovich's Festive Overture, HK Phil Principal Guest Conductor Long Yu conducts this music of magnificent momentum and grand passion, together with HK Phil Concertmaster Jing Wang and dizi performer Feng Tianshi.
The concert runs approximately 1 hour 45 minutes with an intermission.
