There have been so many amazing stories and perspectives pivoting on the 38 minutes during which we were under the threat of a ballistic missile... Artistic Director Harry Wong III and Managing Director Donna Blanchard, ask local playwrights to write pieces inspired by that Saturday morning.

Selected pieces will be used as an anthology for a public reading and/or Dark Night performance, and potentially a spot in an upcoming main stage season at Kumu Kahua Theatre.

Interested playwrights should submit a maximum of 10 pages (no minimum) concerning that 38 minutes. There are no other guidelines for subject, genre, etc.

The deadline for submittal is 38 days from today - March 8, 2018. Scripts should be emailed as an attachment in standard script format to kumukahuadirector@gmail.com with the subject title: 38 MINUTES LAST SATURDAY MORNING. Kumu Kahua Theatre - 46 Merchant St, Honolulu, HI, 96813, (808) 536-4441.
