NOTE: All four roles need bold, individual, comic performers. Characters are all in their early 30s. The humor is quick, off-the-wall and contemporary.
SEEKING:
Hunter:
The ringleader. A musical-theatre-obsessed writer who is hoping to write and produce an original musical in order to escape the terrors of catering. Hunter has a bold, bombastic personality and he can easily inhabit other characters throughout the show. High baritone or tenor.
Jeff:
A musical-theatre-obsessed web designer and closet composer/lyricist. Hunter’s best friend. Shy. Very cute with a nice physique. Baritone.
Susan:
A “handsome” lady with paralyzing stage fright, insecurities, and a wickedly dry wit who recently left show business. She’s uncomfortable with singing, but shouldn’t be. Has a corporate job making good money, getting married in the fall. Mezzo/belt.
Heidi:
A working Broadway actress. Heidi has had success in ensembles and understudy work, but this is her first chance at creating an original role. She has a big voice and a wacky sense of humor. Mezzo/belt.
