Late 30s early 40s, a freelance photojournalist. He is a warm and loving partner who suffers from survivor guilt and anguish at his failure to protect Sarah. But his darker feelings reside just below his congenial surface – envy of Sarah’s career, rage at a betrayal he first chooses to ignore, eventually burst forth with fierce, raw anger.
