BREAKDOWN

TIERS

SEEKING:

TOMMY (HEADS): 20-22. Star basketball player at Snyder High School, Tommy, AKA, Heads, received multiple offers from East Coast Colleges. His lack of discipline and focus resulting in low grades coupled with a persistent drug problem (Heroin), completely destroyed his future. His single mother, a nurse, spoiled Tommy. Selfishness and a sense of privilege have made his future a virtual crapshoot.

LESTER (ICE): 20-22. Lester is an exceptional athlete who excels in football and track. Highly intelligent he succeeds on the field and in the classroom. Lester’s problems lie in his sense of entitlement. His Pops, “Big Les” runs illegal numbers for Joe Moriarity in Black neighborhoods in Jersey City. Lester has always had access to cash, much more than all of his friends. He also has a strange fascination with the “Pimping Game” which began to surface after reading, Pimp, by Robert Beck, AKA, Iceberg Slim. Lester’s convoluted, “Pimp’s” mentality puts him in often very precarious situations. He and Tommy have known each other since 5th grade.

EARL: 23-25. Earl graduated from Snyder High School in Jersey City and received a basketball scholarship to Rutgers Newark. He left college after two years and got a job delivering mail at the Post Office to help his Moms, Rose, with the bills. Highly intelligent, Earl has a touch of “bully” in his personality but mixed with empathy. The weekly Bid Whist game takes place at Earl’s crib where he rules with an iron fist.

ANGELO: 24-26. Angelo graduated from Snyder a year before Earl and has been working at his father’s Fish Market since the 8th grade. One of twelve children, his close knit family attends church on the regular. Angelo is the epitome of responsibility and has a genuine concern for his friends. He considers himself a “ladies man” and has no shortage of prospective dates. Angelo is also quick to speak his peace.
