PERCY TALBOTT - female, around 20. Southern Appalachian background. Strong folk/country voice with high belt.
HANNAH FERGUSON - female, late 60s."A tough-skinned, flinty old bird". Mezzo-alto chest voice.
SHELBY THORPE - female, mid-30s. Shy, almost ethereal. Folk soprano with high belt.
EFFY KRAYNECK - female, around 50. A gossipy busybody. Mezzo belt voice.
JOE SUTTER - male, mid-late 20s. Small town sheriff, intense and restless. Strong folk tenor voice.
CALEB THORPE - male, early 40s. Rough-edged, blue collar worker. Solid folk/rock baritone.
