Interlocutor:
50s-70s, Caucasian, a southern, kindly gentleman who oversees the Minstrel Show. Loves to recall the good-ol’-days that never were. Baritone.
Clarence:
20s, the bully, ornery, starts fights. Belligerent. Also plays a fire-and-brimstone preacher. Must dance well. Baritone.
Roy:
20s, likeable, curious, likes to show off. Must be an excellent tap dancer. High lyric baritone or tenor.
Ozie:
20s, smart, quiet, aware. Also plays Ruby, a not-to-bright white girl. Must dance well. Baritone.
Charlie:
20s, the liar, likes to exaggerate, acts bigger than he really is. Also plays Victoria, a mean white girl. Must dance well.
Eugene:
Teenager to play 13, the youngest, naïve, tries to act tough, must be an excellent tap dancer.
