Seeking:
Kleshtsch:
Male, 30s-40s. A surly locksmith with a hardened exterior concealing a troubled heart. He has a working man's pride, to a fault. In denial about his dying wife, who he can hardly bring himself to acknowledge anymore.
Bubnoff:
Male, 30s. A hatmaker. His sarcasm and sharp wit cover his weary indifference. Sits in the bleachers, so to speak: Statler and Waldorf rolled into one.
Katya:
Female, 50s-60s. Peddles hot food on the street. Grandmotherly, but with a strong sense of willfulness still burning inside her. Unafraid to speak her mind, unbroken by her rough circumstances.
Kostilyoff:
Male, 50s. The landlord. Barely better off than his tenants, yet contemptuous of those below him. Truly believes he has earned his superiority. Highly proficient in getting under people’s skin.
Alexi:
Male, 20s. Wild and incorrigible. A young buffoon who makes toys. Plays at least one instrument, high degree of musical proficiency required.
Luka:
Male, 60s. An old pilgrim with a warm heart. Believes strongly in the goodness of all people. Very good at telling people exactly what they want to hear, even when it might not be the best thing for them.
Actor:
Male, 40s-50s. His career is behind him. In his later years he’s become a bit of a hypochondriac and very forgetful, but he hangs on fiercely to the value of his life’s work.
Pepel:
Male, late 20s-early 30s. A thief who works for the landlord and his family. Romantically entangled with one sister while courting the other. Confident in his"craft" but rough around the edges and quick to anger.
