SYNOPSIS: In 1967, against a backdrop of political unrest, Adham, a young Palestinian scholar, travels to London with his new wife, Abir, to deliver a career-defining lecture. Fueled by his love of English Romantic poetry—and a hunger to chart his own course in the world—Adham struggles to reconcile his own dreams for his future with the pull of family and home. But when the situation in his country deteriorates, and the young couple’s travels test their marriage, Adham confronts the reality that he may be an outsider no matter where he goes.
