Seeking dynamic performers to play African/ African American roles in this new play by emerging playwright Mfoniso Udofia. "The Grove" is a coming of age story, as we follow our central character, Adiagha, we see how she is torn between honoring her Nigerian family and it's deeply steeped traditions while at the same time fighting for her own voice and individuality. Alongside a compelling story "The Grove" combines Traditional Nigerian Song, Slam Poetry and Strong Vocal Rhythms to make a truly unique and exciting piece of theater.
