For the auditions, prepare 32 bars of a contemporary music theatre song in the style of the show (Think Avenue Q, Ahrens and Flaherty, Alan Menken) and a side to be emailed when appointment is made.
Seeking the following role:
The Cannibal King/Hans Christian Andersen:
(40s - 60s, Baritone). African-American. One actor to play the following two roles: The Cannibal King: The ruler of his island of Cannibals, the King hasn’t laughed in 102 years. He’s too busy dealing with the pressure of ruling his kingdom and the antics of his rebellious teenage daughter. This actor also plays Hans Christian Andersen. The role requires an actor that has strong comic timing, authority and gravitas.
