BREAKDOWN
At Bedlam we actively engage in the diversity effort and work as an organization to be culturally competent, learning about the different cultures, races, religions and backgrounds represented within our organization. We value diversity, inclusion, openness, and respect for others. We understand that diversity comes not only in the form of culture, race, and gender but also includes elements such as socio-economic background, education level, geographic location, sexual orientation, thought, and many others and we are committed to fostering an environment that is inclusive to all.
Bedlam’s Artistic Director Eric Tucker directs a stripped-down version of The Crucible, that is an actor-driven tour de force for 14 actors. The company examines the similarities between the Salem witch trials, McCarthyism and our current political state. What are the questions being asked? Who is involved? How do we respond now? How do we act?
