BREAKDOWN

THE COTTAGE

In reference to the character descriptions — most characters we encounter currently are on the binary and are written with he/him or she/her pronouns and you will see that in the following descriptions. However limiting the descriptions are, our casting seeks to be as inclusive as possible and we invite gender non-conforming, genderqueer, transgender and non-binary actors to audition for the roles they most identify with. We will also list race/ethnicity when specific to the character but are otherwise seeking all races and ethnicities. SYNOPSIS:

It’s 1923 and Sylvia Van Kipness is tired of being a secret. She’s with her lover at the cottage for their annual tryst. Taking passion by the headboard, she’s just exposed her affair to her husband and her lover’s wife in a series of scandalous letters. But now this tranquil cottage is becoming a hotbed of confessions. Manic hijinks ensue as a web of infidelity is hilariously laid bare. Sylvia’s got a saucy, side-splitting romp ahead of her. And so do you.
