Caucasian female, early 50s. A serious doctor. Professional, attractive, in?shape, put together. She thaws over the course of the play.
Matilde:
Brazilian female, mid-20s. A maid/comedian with a refined sense of deadpan. Depressed but funny.
Virginia:
Caucasian female, mid-50s. A housewife who loves cleaning. Quirky, eccentric, with an almost suffocating need to take care of others.
Charles:
Caucasian male, mid-50s. A handsome surgeon. Underneath his professional demeanor, childlike and impetuous.
Ana:
Argentinean female, early 60s. Impossibly charismatic. Intelligent, unsentimental, sharp and winning.
