Seeking:
Antigone:
(20) An outsider. Scrawny, pensive, passionate and full of pride. Regal despite her age and stature. Disinterested in her appearance and the expected functions of a princess, but innately mesmerizing and powerful.
Ismene:
(mid 20s) A beautiful princess, aware of her position and the power of her sensuality. Enjoys dressing up, dancing, and succeeding at anything social. Not philosophical, nor political in her understanding of the world. Antigone’s older sister.
Creon:
(50s – 60s) The King of Thebes. A large man. Once a passionate man devoted to music, literature and antiques, now exhausted by his office. Creon is not inherently regal, but a good politician resigned to his duties. Articulate, pragmatic, tidy and alone.
Actors of all ethnicities are encouraged to submit for all parts.
